A Message to our Patients
Out of an abundance of caution and new recommendations from the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the CDC, the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association (ASCA), the Outpatient Ophthalmic Surgery Society (OOSS) and the Ohio Department of Health, we are not going to be open for routine visits in the office and we are not performing surgery at this time. We will resume regular office hours and surgery when we are given guidance to do so by the Ohio Department of Health, and others just mentioned. If you are having an urgent problem (such as new onset loss of vision, eye pain, or double vision), please call our triage desk and we can help determine if an examination is warranted. We are still available for our patients with new problems. We will only be seeing urgent problems at our office to minimize the chance of spreading the corona virus. All patients with non-urgent problems are being rescheduled.
All of us are concerned about the dramatic changes in our daily lives due to coronavirus. And at The Eye MDs and Physicians Outpatient Surgery Center, we are determined to continue delivering the safest and most effective care.
As this situation continues to evolve, we will keep you updated with information from the CDC and other governmental bodies. Our recommendations are subject to change with the circumstances of this rapidly evolving corona virus pandemic. Be safe, and we wish all of you well.
Please contact us if you have questions.
